Our Mission: Our mission is to help you with your ear, hearing, tinnitus, balance and cognition problems, and if necessary, treat any diagnosed hearing loss (a progressive neurological degenerative disorder). We seek the cause of your problem to treat your issue most appropriately. If you just have earwax plugging your ears, we clear it – whereas others may refer you to another specialist for cleaning.

Experience: Our audiologists, Dr. Elyssa Washburn and Dr. Holly Conradt, have over 19 years combined clinical experience in a range of settings including: university, hospital, private practice, VA system, and large ENT groups. Our team’s licensed hearing instrument specialist, Ms. Alexa Farrell, is additionally a tinnitus certified provider and a certified dementia practitioner.

Holistic Approach: Hearing is a vital part of brain health, and your overall health impacts how you hear! We work with you and your physician to preserve, protect, and improve your hearing, balance, and tinnitus.

Fix-It Approach: We invite patients with existing hearing treatment devices who are unsatisfied to allow us to assess and resolve physical fit, sound quality, or other issues on your current devices (if possible) before considering other technology options. You may have been told that you just have to get used to how your hearing aids sound or feel, when in fact, there are often fine tuning adjustments or physical modifications our care providers can make to solve your frustration.

We Proudly Serve Veterans: We are proud to be contracted with the Community Care Network to fit Veterans with hearing aids! This is an important step as we continue our goal of improving hearing healthcare in our community.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Whenever you come to Love to Hear Again Audiology for an appointment, you will always be greeted by our friendly front office staff. If this is your first time visiting our office then we will send you a link to fill out our short electronic intake form beforehand. Be sure to bring a photo ID and your health insurance cards for us to scan. You won’t wait long before one of our doctors of audiology comes out to greet you.

Your comprehensive ear-to-brain evaluation and consultation will last between 45-90 minutes (we allow up to 90 min, in case the results indicate you need to begin treatment).

To begin your appointment, we will perform video otoscopy, which allows us and you to see inside your ear canal, and then we’ll remove any blockage as needed.

1. 10-min cognitive screener to see how your brain processes sensory information.

2. Tympanometry and otoacoustic emission assess the physical health status of both your middle-ear (behind the eardrum) and your inner ear (cochlea). Combining these initial data measures, we will be able to diagnose if you have “hearing loss,” a Progressive Degenerative Disorder.

3. Sound perception exam (audiogram) takes place in the sound proof booth, and finally allows us to assign the exact “stage” of your hearing loss and identify your treatment plan’s exact prescription needs. We’ll check your hearing acuity across a full spectrum of pitches, and your speech recognition ability in quiet and in background noise. If you have tinnitus, we will assess or pitch-match that as well.

This is a conversation that allows our audiologist to get to know YOU, what your lifestyle is, where you are having trouble hearing, and what your expectations are for the appointment. Depending on the results of our comprehensive diagnostics and audiogram, we likely will make a treatment plan recommendation same-day.

Treatment plan subscription purchase is our most often opted-for payment option, which removes the barrier of needing an up-front lump sum typical with most other practices. Subscription purchase begins at $179/mo. on average. (Monthly rates may be lower or higher based on applicable health plan benefits, credit score, or the amount of initial deposit you put down; our office will run a complimentary pre-verification of benefits for each individual to offer custom quotes). Lump sum purchase is also available if preferred. Remember, catching and treating this Progressive Degeneration Disorder (hearing loss & tinnitus) as soon as possible reduces your risks for, and slows the progression of cognitive decline, dementia, tinnitus and traumatic falls!
